Plot
A life on the edge hot rodder named Billy comes to town run by Sheriff Garrett, he immediately dates and romances his daughter with ulterior motives linked to Garrett's past, for which he was once a champion of the hot rodding. Will Garrett accept Billy's challenge to the death?

"Stella! Stella! Oh! Hello plague goers. I was just rehearsing with my little theater group. I just love the slimelight. For tonight's dreary drama, I thought we'd try an exscarimental piece about a retired drag racer who's afraid of getting to the finished line a little sooner than he wants. I call this nasty nugget King of the Road."
Closing Segment
"Well, that certainly gives new meaning to the term ’burn rubber.’ As for me, I've got to get back to work. The group has decided to do something classical. We're trying to choose between A Midsummer Night's Scream and Ghoulius Caesar. Care to watch from hackstage? You know what they say kiddies, the slay's the thing."
Trivia
- Despite the onscreen credit for the "Two-Fisted Tales" comic book, this was not based on any EC Comic and was actually an original story, and was originally produced for the unsold anthology series Two-Fisted Tales (1992).
- The movie was shot in 1992. Iceman's incident took place 27 years earlier making that year 1965.
- The title is based on the 1965 song "King of the Road" written and recorded by country singer Roger Miller.
