"Two gorgeous twins. Two lookalike brothers. Two happy marriages. One killer twist!"

-- DVD description for the episode

Plot[]

A con man (Joe Pesci) tricks a pair of reclusive twin sisters (Jacqueline Alexandra Citron and Kristen Amber Citron) into dating him so that he can steal their inheritance. However, he soon gets a nasty surprise when he shockingly discovers that the twins themselves are harboring a dark and dangerous secret.

Summary[]

Vic Stetson (Joe Pesci) is a con artist who has three major goals in life: stay out of trouble with the law, make a score big enough to set him up for life, and have sex with twins. After ripping off a gambler, Vic leaves town. He sees two black cats which causes him to swerve and blow a tire. Vic lets himself in through an open door on the nearby secluded mansion so he can call a tow truck. He discovers the mansion was built by a famous architect named Etchyson Dobbs Blair. His two beautiful identical twin daughters April and June now own and live in it. The twins are suspicious of Vic, but he soon wins them over by pretending to know their father's work as he waits for his tow truck. When Etchyson died, he left a $2 billion fortune to the twins. Vic decides that the twins could be his ticket to the score of a lifetime.

Vic spends time with the twins separately, romancing them one at a time. Vic knows that he could ask either twin to marry him and gain control of half the fortune, but he wants the entire $2 billion. He disguises himself with a pair of sunglasses, a ponytail, and a different accent to create "Jack", a fake twin brother. He sells the lie to April and June by telling them that one brother has to be out of the country at all times to look after investments in South Africa, and he and "Jack" usually take turns doing so every month. Vic marries the twins in separate ceremonies; April as himself, and June as "Jack". While Vic sunbathes by the pool, April and June talk about putting their lonely pasts behind them and discuss the idea of sharing whichever brother is home at any given time.

Later, the twins tell each other about their husbands' (identical) sexual fetishes and a patch of pale skin on the same location of the brothers' backs. The twins find the disguises Vic uses to turn himself into Jack, and come to the conclusion that they have married the same man. Vic finds a drawer of newspaper clippings about the murder of the twins' father. April and June were teenagers when Etchyson was killed and they were acquitted of his murder. The twins sneak up on Vic, knock him unconscious, and tie him to the bed in one of their rooms. They admit to Vic that they killed their father because they could not share him equally. The twins then use a chainsaw to slice Vic vertically in half. Each sister then takes half of Vic's body and lays it neatly in her bed. The twins climb in bed with their half of Vic and stroke their half of him as bloodstains spread across the sheets.

Opening Segment[]

Splitopening

"Oh, hello kiddies! Tonight's coffin caper is so crammed with ghastly greed, sickening sex and vomitous violence that parental guidance is advised. So guide your parents out of the room so we can have some fun! This tale concerns a gambling man with a bad case of double vision who's about to hit the hackpot. I call this twin helping of horror Split Personality."

Closing Segment []

Splitclosing

"I guess old Vino Vic thought he could double his fun and his bank account. Too bad he was only half right. Oh well, it just proves the old saying behind every bad man there's two women with a chain saw! So kiddies, care for a little maim of chance? Deads, I win, tails, you ooze!"

Trivia[]

  • The only directorial effort of Joel Silver to date. Normally he is just a producer of movies and TV shows.
  • The photo of the twins' father is of Richard Donner.
  • During the Crypt Keeper's outro, if you listen closely, you can hear the exact same sound effects (including a scream and a wolf howling) isolated from the opening sequence of the series.
  • "What the f**k is this piece of s**t?" Vic's profanity-laced reaction to the mansion has become a meme on the internet in recent years.
