-- DVD description for the episode

Cast

Ed Begley Jr. as Judd Campbell, the Salesman

Tim Curry as Pa Brackett / Ma Brackett / Winona Brackett

Yvonne De Carlo as Mrs. Jones

Plot

A sneaky cemetery plot salesman (Ed Begley, Jr.) finds new victims (triple role played by Tim Curry) in the form of a strange hillbilly family with a fortune buried in their basement and a burning hatred for conning salesmen.

To say that the seemingly quaint Bracket family are a bit odd would be something of an understatement. To say that they never ignore a bargain would be another one. And no-one learns this more than Judd Campbell. A conniving con-man who comes knocking at their door posing as a salesman. But little does Judd realize is that's he's not the first unsuspecting salesman to have come a calling. A fact that he discovers to his horror and the Bracket's revel in with malevolent joy.

Next up on the home chopping network, it's time for the Crypt Keeper's fashion boo-tique. Today, we will feature my full line of Apres Vie death care products. We've got everything from face scream to mas-scare-a. Try some. It's the best thing you can do for...dem-ise. Or maybe I can interest you in tonight's special. It's a tasteless tale about a traveling cemetery plot salesmen who's about to make a grave mistake. I call it Death of Some Salesmen."

"Good old Judd. Just another satisfied ghost-imer. I guess it's true what they say - the family that slays together stays together. We come now to one of my favorite items, the amazing Crypt Keeper slash-o-matic. It's more than just a knife, it peels, it cuts, makes fabulous french fries. It slices, it dices, it -"

[Crypt Keeper shows his hand having severed his fingers with the knife]

"Oh."
